This piece was begun several years ago, and while it surprised Halima in its initial landscape-y-ness, she did not love it, but dared not change it. In an early move of liberation (late 2023), she set herself free from working and working to bring the landscape any sense of completion. Broad strokes, big colours, oil sticks and complete abandon brought this piece forth. It hangs in Halima's studio as a Tribute to Permission.
